If you haven’t visited Waiheke Island before, then you’re missing out because the views are stunning. Just a 30-40 minute ferry from Auckland CBD, you’ll arrive to a beautiful dock surrounded by crystal clear waters.
While you’re there, visiting a vineyard is a must and Mudbrick was on the top of my list! Who doesn’t want to wine and dine in a picturesque courtyard?
This place is on the pricier side so I would recommend going in a group as it will be easier on the wallet. Staff are friendly and there’s also a shop in the courtyard where you can buy wine and other novelty gifts.
We ordered the vineyard platter and a cheese board from the lunch/bistro menu. The dips they had for the bread was amazing – they make a killer aioli (the best I’ve ever had).
Even if you’re not a cheese board/platter person, I would recommend coming here just to enjoy the breathtaking views Waiheke has to offer.
