This place was packed on an Easter Monday when my friend and I arrived. It took us around 15 minutes to get a seat and because it was so busy, food took around 30 minutes to get to us.
My first thought as soon as I saw the place was – I love the windows! Was such a shame that it was raining and the place was crowded as I would’ve loved a seat by the window so I could look outside while I devour my food.
I ordered the Eton Rifle ($18) while my friend ordered the Paleo bowl. Every dish at this cafe is a work of art because every plate you see come out from the kitchen is way too pretty to eat. Honestly, just take a look at the eton rifle in its beautiful mess – the brioche french toast went perfectly with the berries and mascarpone cream and meringue! I do admit that it was almost too sweet for me (probably because I also had a matcha latte, who can resist matcha?!). However, I would recommend it to anyone who wants a sweet start to their day.
I also loved the paleo bowl – the proportions were massive and it tasted amazing. I definitely preferred this over my sweet dish but I guess it really depends on whether you are someone who prefers sweet or savoury. They also have a lot of cabinet food which I didn’t get the chance to try out (guess this means I should go back again).
Overall, this cafe is definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area. I suggest going during the off peak hours so that you don’t have to spend a lot of time waiting.
